The BluClear should be set up dry. This means it must be positioned outside your pond. However, the BluClear is weather-resistant.

Ensure UV-C Lamp Functionality with Viewing Window

The UV-C device includes a viewing window to safely check its operation. When functioning correctly, a blue light will be visible through the window. A UV-C lamp in a UV-C device lasts approximately 8,000 hours. We recommend replacing the UV-C lamp after these hours and at least once per season to ensure it continues to work effectively.
